New research looking at reducing drowning risk at public pools – participants for survey wanted

Patricia English is a Masters student at CQ University, exploring drowning risk and pre-existing medical conditions, specifically in public swimming pools.

The aim of this study is to understand perceptions of risk management practices to protect the health and safety of participants in aquatic facilities who may have known or unknown pre-existing medical conditions.

The findings of her study will inform the development of best practice recommendations to improve safety and reduce the risk of drowning incidents within aquatic facilities.

She is looking for people to do her surveys, as either a user or a staff member, of public aquatic centres. If you would like to participate in the study and do the survey, please click on the links below.

All responses are anonymous and no personal information is recorded.

If you have any questions about this study, Patricia can be contacted via email patricia.english@cqumail.com
